Transitioning from an 18-year military career to founding an education consulting firm may seem like a leap, but for Fariezan, it was a natural progression driven by his passion for people development, teaching, and community empowerment. His extensive experience in the military laid the groundwork for many of the skills that are vital in the field of education. Founding Edxel Academy Pte. Ltd. allowed him to merge his passion for leadership development with his desire to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. He is especially committed to youth development, having mentored ITE students and facilitated life skills workshops for youths at the Singapore Boys’ Home.

As a grassroots volunteer with the People’s Association (PA), he serves as Chairman of both the Community Development Welfare Fund (IPC-status charity) and the Malay Activity Executive Committee (MAEC), and sits on the Council of PA MESRA, which oversees over 100 MAECs islandwide. He is also a graduate of PA’s Leadership in Community Programme, a six-month course for emerging civic society leaders.

A seasoned project manager, Fariezan has organised major national and community events, including serving as Deputy Organising Secretary of the National Day Parade 2014, Stage Manager for the Youth Olympic Games 2010, and planner for the National Service 55 (NS55) Integrated Parade 2022. His involvement in numerous community and fundraising initiatives demonstrates his strengths in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and seamless execution under pressure. His strong interpersonal skills, coupled with an eye for detail in high-stakes environments, have enabled him to lead cross-functional teams effectively, deliver memorable experiences, and build lasting partnerships across sectors.
